  1. Welcome to the Lightning StrikeΓäó1.0.1 Plug-in !

  3. Installation instructions:
  4.  
  5. The installer will allow you to place Lightning StrikeΓäó 
  6. for Power Macs on to your hard disk.
  7.  
  8. a) Quit Netscape if you have not already done so. 
  9. b) Below where it says choose destination 
  10.     folder, choose your current Netscape 2.0 folder 
  11.     (must be a 2.0 beta or 2.0 final release)      
  12. c) Open the most current Netscape 2.0 folder.
  13. d) Open the plug-ins folder.
  14. e) Choose install 
  15. f) When the installation process is complete, get 
  16.     info on the Netscape 2.0 application.
  17. g) Under memory requirements, set the 
  18.       minimum size: box to 8000k and  set the 
  19.     preferred size: box to 10000k. these memory 
  20.         requirements should allow 3-4,24-bit, 256x256 
  21.         (true color) images to be viewed on screen at 
  22.         the same time.  if you would like to view more 
  23.         than that please raise the memory requirements 
  24.         for Netscape 2.0 (about 2 meg for each at 256x256 
  25.         pixels or use your calculator and multiply the 
  26.         dimensions of the images by 32).

  28. You may now use the Lightning StrikeΓäó Plug-in to 
  29. view graphics in Netscape that were compressed using the
  30. Lightning StrikeΓäó compressor.
